Rounders Year 5

On Tuesday 30th, a selection of Year 5 pupils participated in the annual Rounders Tournament. We played 2 matches; the first against Greentrees where St Andrews won! It was a fantastic match and the children's fielding skills were impeccable. The second match was against Winterbourne. This was a nail-biting match as we knew that we would have to win, in order to win the whole tournament. Winterbourne batted first and scored 9 and a half rounders, St Andrew's fought back and, before the last batter, had scored 8 and a half rounders. William was our last batter and ran a full rounder bringing us equal with Winterbourne. After counting all of the rounders scored within both games, Winterbourne came first with just half a rounder more than us, meaning St Andrew's came 2nd place. Well done team!!
